Origins: A Founding Commitment to Clean Energy Innovation
In 1992, the Company was incorporated under its original name, Hebei Veyong Industrial Co., Ltd.
In 1994, the Company was listed on the A-share Main Board under the stock short name “Veyong Bio-Chemical” and stock code 600803.SH, becoming one of the earliest listed companies in Hebei Province.
In 2004, the acquisition of a 44.09% state-owned equity interest in Veyong Bio-Chemical was approved by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, marking the Company’s official entry into the ENN family.

Transformation: Building a Comprehensive Coal-Based Clean Energy Production Platform and Expanding Upstream
From 2005 to 2006, the Bengbu 10,000-ton dimethyl ether project and the Zhangjiagang dimethyl ether project marked ENN’s first breakthrough in independently producing clean energy.
From 2006 to 2008, Xinneng Energy, Xinneng Mining, and Xinneng Phoenix (Tengzhou) Energy Co., Ltd. were established successively, enabling full integration from feedstock to production and establishing a clean energy production base aligned with international energy strategies.
In 2014, the Company acquired Shanxi Qinshui ENN Gas Co., Ltd., officially entering the clean energy business with LNG as its core and accelerating its natural gas industry layout. In the same year, the Company was renamed ENN Ecological Holdings Co., Ltd., with “ENN Natural Gas” as its stock short name.
In 2015, the Company acquired Xindi Energy Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., expanding its business into the energy engineering services sector.

Takeoff: Connecting the Full Natural Gas Value Chain and Deepening the Industrial Internet Strategy
In 2016, the Company expanded its overseas upstream natural gas resources by acquiring an 11.72% equity interest in Santos Limited, a global energy company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange under the ticker STO.AX.
In 2019, the Company completed the divestment of its agrochemical and veterinary medicine businesses. It also continued to strengthen resource procurement, with cumulative long-term natural gas contracts exceeding 10 million tons per year.
In 2020, ENN Natural Gas’ major asset restructuring plan to acquire ENN Energy was unconditionally approved by the M&A and Restructuring Committee of the China Securities Regulatory Commission. In December of the same year, the Company was renamed ENN Natural Gas Co., Ltd.
In 2022, ENN Natural Gas restructured the assets of the Zhoushan LNG Terminal. Since then, the Company has achieved a full-scenario layout across the natural gas industry and become an innovative, leading A-share listed clean energy company integrating the midstream, downstream, and upstream segments.
In 2023, as a strategic move to focus on its core natural gas business, the Company sold its entire equity interest in Xinneng Mining to Guangdong Panhong.
In 2025, the Company sold an 85% equity interest in its methanol business, further sharpening its focus on its core natural gas business.
